Protecting the past with an eye to the future

Heritage Open Day 2011

In September 2011 the Society joined forces with Strode Theatre to celebrate Heritage Open Day.

The theatre was opened to the public for conducted tours around the theatre and backstage.  These tours were hosted by Liz Leyshon, theatre manager, and Chris Sealy who is one of the technicians.

Throughout the day members of the Society were on hand to talk with the visitors and to promote the Society.  During the day 72 visitors experienced the tours and refreshments were available throughout.

Theatre manager Liz Leyshon said after the event “It was a pleasure to work with the Society again and thanks so much to all the members for helping, it made the day so much easier.”

The Society would like to thank Liz and her staff for hosting us for the day.
